Our family
We, Greet, Arnout and Soan, welcome you to our guest rooms, to offer you a great holiday in the Pyrenees!
How it all began …
I, Greet, was born in Elingen (Belgium), a small country village where I was actively involved in community life. I was a school teacher in Rhode-Saint-Genèse.
Arnout was born in Hal. He worked as a sales representative.
We moved in together in Lot and we talked from time to time about going to the mountains …
We only knew the Alps from our skiing holidays. But when Arnout landed in the Pyrenees, around Saint-Lary-Soulan, for a cycling trip, he liked this place a lot.
A trip to discover the Pyrenees quickly turned into a permanent move!
For 9 months, we were working, helped by friends from Belgium and our new neighbors in Cadéac, to restore the house and make it a welcoming guest house!
In the summer of 2008, we welcomed our first guests!
In 2009 our son, Soan, was born.
We have now been living in Cadéac for 17 years, and we feel good here!
Arnout has set up as a craftsman in joinery and interior finishing and I, Greet, welcome you in the summer in our guest rooms. During the winter season, we rent the entire house, self-catering.
Arnout has taken up cycling again and insists on his Sunday outing in the mountains or the valley … sometimes he climbs passes, sometimes he heads down.
For me, hiking in the mountains has become a real passion!
We are happy to give you ideas for mountain outings, on foot or by bike!
Soan is a 15-year-old teenager who loves being in the mountains … Football is his passion and he loves skiing. He enjoys climbing mountain peaks over 3000 m, canyoning, ski touring and much more.
Patrol and Patouf, our 2 dogs, accompany us in our life in the mountains!
